Thumbs up Coupon Train

Ok, my life has calmed down a bit, so I wanted to try this again if anyone wants to join. I'd love to have 3-4 people on a train, if we have more than that we can start another. Let me know here first if you are interested, and if we have enough I'll have you pm me your info. Thank you!

The "conductor" of the train gets however many passengers for the train. 3-4 normally works well. Then they put about 50 or so coupons in an envelope and send it to the first person on the list. However many coupons they take out, they have to replace, and then they send it to the next. This keeps going until it gets to the last person, who then sends it back to the conductor. It just keeps cycling like that.

Just wondering if there were any others who wanted to join this coupon train? I don't feel that it's smart if there is only one other person on the train. Anybody else?

I find this interesting and want to do it but I don't really have a good coupon collection. Has anyone ever bought coupons off of ebay? It looks like it might be a good place to start but I don't want to get ripped off either.

I personally wouldn't buy them off ebay. I get them from the Sunday paper. My mil keeps all the ones she gets for me as well. I normally just keep any coupon that I know I won't use for the train. Coupons out of magazines work as well. The only coupons that shouldn't go in a train are internet coupons, and that's only because not everyone can use them.

Ok, I take it that I only have one person wanting to join, so I'm not going to start the train yet. I'll keep bumping this up and once I get enough people, I'll start one. Let me know if you want to join in!

This is a great way to get some coupons! Janet, you really don't need that many coupons to join. As long as you have enough to replace what you take out of the envelope.

I'm game!
We get double coupons on Sunday and there are lots that we can't use.
I hate letting coupons go to waste. Oh and in the store they put those little coupon machines I will just grab and extra.
